Overview

Veda Core is a revolutionary product by VJ Technologies aimed at detecting air bubbles in alloy castings, a critical issue in automotive engine manufacturing. These trapped air bubbles can cause corrosion, brittleness, and eventual engine failure. By using an advanced X-ray machine, multiple scans are taken from different angles to identify defects in the engine parts. While the machine hardware was developed by VJ Technologies, we contributed by designing the Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and User Interface (UI) to enhance operator efficiency and eliminate human errors during inspections.

Our journey began by analyzing the operator’s workflow and challenges in using traditional inspection tools. We collaborated with VJ Technologies to design an intuitive and efficient UI for their X-ray machine, ensuring that operators could easily interpret the results of multi-angle scans. Our focus was on creating a seamless interaction that reduced cognitive load and potential errors, ultimately improving defect detection accuracy.
